The EPA has a nice section enabling you to map rivers with zoom capabilities. Though not as detailed, like the USGS Geospatial Data site, files are quite large.

Great maps with zoom capabilities for topography. You will want to have a broadband connection for these as the files are too large for a dial-up connection
